Must faith in God begin with an assumption that faith is correct? I had trouble with this because I felt that if it is true, it should not require me to believe it is true as a starting point when all my other intuition points otherwise. Otherwise, how is it unlike any other faith, which has seemingly obvious flaws, yet which many people continue to believe because they have already committed themselves to it?

I am coming to appreciate, though, how the more liberal denominations of Christianity are at least willing to admit that things are confusing, and that questioning doesn’t make you horrible person.
