I don't think this is an inappropriate comment. I basically agree with you and have a lot of the same thoughts. If my perspective is that there is no inherent meaning to anything, then yes, it is hard to say "...and therefore that's why we should love each other and our lives have value." Just because life isn't permanent doesn't have to imply that it is therefore valuable, I agree.

But like you said, it seems apparent that we really do have a lot of capacity for love and compassion, and that's just part of how we're wired, for the most part... and in the same way, it is evident that we truly do value life subjectively. I know I feel like it's valuable, and that's enough for me.
