Hmm, my understanding is that most humans in the last 50,000-100,000 years were animists of some type, which doesn't necessarily include a belief in creator gods and certainly not theism, which is a relatively recent idea.

Even if belief in God were unanimous throughout history, just because something has been intuitively believed by humans for a long time does not mean it is true. Without the perspective afforded by scientific reasoning we also always assumed the world was flat. Now we know better.

"Atheists: the most angry and miserable minority of neckbeards" doesn't sound like a legitimate study that ever came out. I could just as easily make inflammatory insults against religious people but will not do so as it is completely non productive.
