Thanks for the sentiment… but there’s really nothing to be sorry about. These are 7 of the logical problems I found in the dogma, but my disinterest in religion runs a lot deeper than that. At a fundamental level, I’m not interested in magical thinking, whether that’s liberal Christianity, fundamentalism, or any other religion which makes supernatural claims. I’m more interested in believing things that can be demonstrated to be true in the physical world around me, rather than believing a holy book and a tradition.
This is one of the hardest things for me to communicate to believers… there’s no other version of Christianity that would work for me. My disagreement with it is at a very root level. And I’m happier having left.
