Haha, right, I wonder about that as well. I don't have any pets (unless you count my plants) and I think it would feel weird to buy dead animals to feed the animal that I love.

I agree, there is really no purity, even if I am eating vegan there's another whole layer of: Well, how was this vegetable grown? Who harvested it? Were they exposed to pesticides? Where was it shipped from?

I guess the "purest" way would be to grow all your own food, but that would be a full-time job. Farmers markets are probably a good way to go.
