The big difference is that I understand the Christian responses because I used to engage in them myself, and I saw them being used by people around me all the time, so I’m speaking from personal experience. Whereas most of those who seek to invalidate the lives of ex-Christians have never been ex-Christians themselves, and are only projecting their own beliefs without understanding both sides of the issue.
